Journey to Julie

Dear Family and Friends! Thanks for being so supportive throughout this adoption process. Here is our "blog"-- a way for you to keep abreast of our amazing journey to Julie. We plan to update this site all the way up to coming home from China. After that, I imagine we will be too busy. Plus, you can come visit at that point anyway!!!

Baby BM!!!

Yesterday at dinner Julie had her first BM since we got her on Sunday! For the un-initiated, BM means Bowel Movement. Julie followed up with another one today at the Zoo so I think we are okay on that front.

Today we went to the zoo and saw Giant Pandas, Tigers, and little tiny monkeys. They also had an art museum/exhibition that had a lot of nice paintings, embroidery work, and carved jade and wood.

After the zoo, we went to the new WalMart. They have some unique items like live (and dead) fish in tanks.

They also sell cute little toilets for kids. Here is Julie on her new friend!

Tonight Spencer and a few of the other brave Dads are going to try a local favorite; the hotpot.

Tomorrow an evening visit to the 'old town' for more shopping is in order.

Bye for now.......

I shared your site with my friend and this is her response. Nadi

What a wonderful site and just as wonderful young couple. The look on their faces says it all – they are testimonial that the human spirit is able to love what it has not created. This says a lot about the character of this couple, and of the individuals in their lives that gave them the support and love to make this incredible journey. Julie is a very lucky little girl - she was chosen to be their child. Martina should be very proud of her daughter’s ability to love! Thanks for sharing this. Heatwarming
